Simple, warm and properly cosy, these women's Scandinavian socks have a classic Nordic diamond pattern with cream cuffs, heels and toes, and a thick, soft knit that keeps your feet warm from the first frosty morning of autumn right through to spring.

The outer is knitted in a soft rabbit wool blend and the inside is lined with fleece, so you get two layers of warmth that hold onto heat on the coldest days. They sit at mid-calf, which makes them ideal as boot socks under wellies and winter boots, or as cabin socks for slow weekends on the sofa.

Choose from five warm colourways: black, grey, coffee, beige and caramel, each with the cream Nordic pattern. They go with everything from jeans and leggings to knitwear and loungewear, and they make a practical, cosy gift for anyone who feels the cold. One size fits UK 2.5–10.5 (EU 35–45). Care instructions

A little care keeps your socks soft, warm and in shape for longer.

Wash at 30°C

No bleach

No tumble dry

No iron

Turn inside out and wash on a gentle or wool cycle at 30°C, or hand wash in cool water.
Use a mild or wool detergent. Skip fabric softener, as it flattens the soft fibres.
Wash with similar colours.
Don't wring. Gently squeeze out the water, reshape and dry flat, away from radiators and direct heat.
A little bobbling over time is normal for soft wool blends. A fabric shaver will tidy it up.

Materials

Composition: 60% rabbit wool, with 38% polyester and 2% elastane.

Rabbit wool blend
Rabbit wool is one of the softest and lightest natural fibres. Each fibre is partly hollow, so it traps warm air close to your skin and keeps you warm without the weight or the itch of coarser wools.

Why a blend, not 100% wool?
Pure wool socks look lovely but wear through quickly, stretch out of shape and take a long time to dry. Polyester adds strength and helps the socks hold their shape wash after wash, and elastane gives a little stretch for a snug, comfortable fit. You get the softness and warmth of rabbit wool in a sock that lasts.

One size: fits EU 35 to 45 (UK 2.5 to 10.5)

These socks come in one size. The knit includes 2% elastane, which gives it just enough stretch to fit comfortably across the whole EU 35 to 45 range, so they stay snug on smaller feet without feeling tight on larger ones.

How to start a return

Email support@victoriacarlton-london.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number, the items you want to return and the reason.
Our customer support team will reply within 24 hours on business days. Once your return is approved, we'll send you a Return Authorisation Number and step-by-step return instructions, including the address to send your parcel to.
Pack the items securely, include your Return Authorisation Number and send your parcel using the instructions provided. We recommend a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage.

Please don't send items back without contacting us first. Returns sent without a Return Authorisation Number may be delayed or can't be processed. Requests sent at the weekend or on a bank holiday are handled on the next business day.

Soft rabbit wool, without the itch

Every pair is knitted from a 60% rabbit wool blend. Rabbit wool is one of the softest, lightest natural fibres there is, and its partly hollow fibres trap warm air close to your skin.

We blend it with polyester for strength and a touch of elastane for stretch, so your socks stay soft and keep their shape wash after wash.

Our socks are made for the coldest part of the year: thick knits and plush linings for long evenings on the sofa, chilly mornings and freezing nights.
